Jemma was a pleasure to work with. She listened to my vague ideas and had lots of fabulous creative suggestions (like planet handles – who knew they were a thing?!). A tired, tatty old wardrobe saved from the tip was transformed to a joyful piece of furniture for our son’s bedroom. I already have a list of things waiting for Jemma’s magic touch. 🌈 🪐
We were struggling to find a drinks cabinet that suited our requirements without costing a small fortune. Jemma found us a great unit and suggested some great ideas following discussion around style and colour. The final result is a a fantastic unit that fits our space perfectly.
I had an old Drinks cabinet renovated by the furniture parlour, it looks wonderful now, I’m so happy with it and it is always getting commented on by visitors to the house. Really happy with the price, the service, the advice and the results. Highly recommended.
The birth of The Furniture Parlour
How it all began…
The Furniture Parlour was born in my kitchen in 2017 after working in a local shop selling Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. I loved it and found that furniture painting was the perfect mix of using the creative and sourcing skills that I had. I’ve always loved creating and quickly started to build my little business.
Now, having outgrown my kitchen I’m in my own studio and I am thrilled to be able to build my business, working around my young family, offering individually designed pieces, bespoke commissions, workshops and paint.
